Position Summary
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of programs, ensuring all efforts align with CFI’s mission. The Executive Director will ensure that the following areas are maintained at the highest quality: fiscal accountability, human resources, program maintenance, property maintenance, child safety, and emergency responses. The Executive Director is responsible for, building and maintaining strategic partnerships, identifying and securing funding, and creating and monitoring program models that increase financial sustainability. Therefore the successful applicant will need to have a strong fundraising background.
Organization Summary
We are a small grassroots organisation, who aim to empower children and youth to break the cycle of poverty in a rural district of Battambang. Our holistic services provide basic needs support, prevents human trafficking, and grant access to education for some of the most resource poor and vulnerable children in Cambodia. CFI serves hundreds of children and youth that were previously not attending school and at risk of human trafficking and child labor. CFI’s programs focus intently on ensuring that youth stay in school, attend higher education and have the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential and become positive role models, qualified professionals, and compassionate community leaders. CFI has an overall focus on reducing service dependency and increasing family resilience.
CFI is a close knit team based in Ek Phnom, Battambang. The successful candidate would be required to be based here, although flexible working would be available , as required, as we respond to local COVID restrictions. Do you have:
A minimum of five (5) years of organizational leadership experience.
Demonstrated program management experience.
Demonstrated experience building funding partnerships and strong sector relationships.
Demonstrated experience building income-generating program models within nonprofit organizations.
Extensive experience working in the area of children’s rights or with vulnerable children and youth.
Proven leadership and teamwork strengths.
Excellent planning and organization skills.
Ability to solve problems in a timely and effective manner.
Ability to interact with diverse individuals.
A strong communicator with excellent listening skills.
Ability to remain calm under stress.
A University degree (Masters degree preferred) in program development, international relations, human rights, or a related field.
Knowledge of Cambodian culture, traditions, and business etiquette (preferred).
Experience working/living in Cambodia (preferred).
Excellent written and verbal English.
Strong verbal Khmer (preferred).
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
