Children’s Future International (CFI) is seeking a consultant to support the development of an exciting new programme, the Next Generation Initiative. The consultancy is for a total of 60 working days within a period of four months, from August 2017 until December 2017. We will also seeking a second subsequent consultancy position for a further six months, to evaluate and review the programme; suitable applicants are invited to apply for one or both consultancies.
The Curriculum Consultancy is to develop the curriculum for a new programme designed to improve professional employment opportunities for the most at-risk and vulnerable rural Cambodian youth. The programme has two main objectives:
To support the participants (the young students in vulnerable circumstances) to develop the soft skills required to support them to find a job.
To support the participants (see above) to transfer their knowledge to the local community and act as leaders.
Included in this is the development of the curriculum for the NGI programme, and the development and delivery of training for our teaching staff to deliver the NGI programme. The consultancy deliverables will help to support CFI’s vision to improve the lives of vulnerable children by creating a future where every Cambodian child is safe, healthy, educated and thriving.

Duty Station: Home-based (in country) or at Children’s Future Learning Centre
Expected Travel: Within Battambang province only, additional travel may be negotiated with CFI executive team if deemed necessary.
Contract Duration: 60 days over a period of four months or less.
Desk research and analysis of similar programmes in Cambodia and comparable environments. Estimated 15 working days.
Development of the draft curriculum for the NGI programme. Which must include collaboration with CFI staff and young people. Estimated 20 working days.
Finalisation of curriculum (including application for government accreditation). Estimated 5 working days.
Development of training for staff to deliver the NGI programme. Estimated 15 working days.
Delivery of training to staff. Estimated 5 working days.
